How we began
Bravura Equity Services became a strong player in the BEE
ownership deal space and began experiencing increasing
interest from its clients in strategic consulting on all
elements of BEE.
Bravura Consulting was as a consequence founded in 2006
laying its strong foundation based on a combination
of deal-making, BEE and global strategic consulting
experience.
One of the founding
Directors of Bravura Consulting, who recently left to pursue
other interests, was involved in public debate and regular
commentator on the topic of Black Economic Empowerment in
the media with the dti and also a member of the dti
committee tasked with drafting verification procedures.
As a result Bravura Consulting has a strong foundation laid
over numerous years in the BEE advisory space.
The other founding members
of Bravura Consulting brought with them almost 10 years of
collective consulting experience at global management
consultancies McKinsey & Co and Accenture, as well as
experience across a wide range of blue chip corporates and sectors.

The name "Bravura"
We are often asked about the origins of
our unusual name. A musical term, bravura, invites the
musician to play a particular passage of music with 'great
skill and brilliance'. The word is also used to
describe the display of 'great daring'. Pronounced:
[Bra-vu-ra].
Not only does it describe
our approach, it also inspires us to continually strive for
innovative, courageous solutions to our client's needs and
other opportunities.

| Our
commitment to transformation
Bravura Consulting's commitment to transformation stems from
its strong belief that South African economic and social
transformation is a long term goal and a responsibility of
all its citizens.
"It always seems
impossible until it's done." - Nelson Mandela
We are passionate about
transformation and we don't just tell our clients how to do
it best, we lead by example.
As part of our commitment
to Skills Development, transformation and change, we have
recently employed an analyst, who is a black BCom graduate
from a previously disadvantaged community near Kimberley.
We have placed him on an internship programme whereby he
will learn all the skills required to start a full time
career in transformation.
